we strongly Believe in supporting the communities that support us. Charitable giving has been a way of life at Pollock for as long as we have been around. Pollock is an active member and supporter of the United Way and encourages support from our associates through payroll deductions and direct donations as well. The Pollock Family and Pollock Paper Distributors have supported the performing arts, medical research, public facilities and many other cultural and civil groups. Many people have benefited from these gifts over the years and that commitment will continue in the future. Employees at all Pollock branches continually demonstrate their commitment to giving by serving local charities in their communities by donating time and money to local schools, churches, community hospitals, the March of Dimes, Special Olympics, the Salvation Army, and many other community-related agencies. To recognize the outstanding commitment of Pollock employees, in 2004 Pollock introduced the Lawrence S. Pollock, Jr. Community Service Award, awarded annually to the individual or branch with the most outstanding community service efforts.
