Pollock Charitable Work

Pollock supports involvement in the community by offering seed money to each Pollock location, allowing those Pollock associates to select the charitable organization they wish to support each year.

While there are numerous activities throughout the company each year, the Dallas-Ft. Worth area associates of Pollock adopted the Children's Medical Center of Dallas. A spirited group of Pollock people used the initial sum of money to buy supplies, and then initiated many different fund raising activities. Those included a car wash in the company parking lot, where virtually all of the vehicles on site were washed by hand (that makes you appreciate the drive-through car washes even more!) There were bake sales, holiday costume contests and several other fun events that brought people together for a common cause.

The team contacted several area businesses to solicit additional support. Toy R Us, Mattell, and others were very generous in offering toys, games, baskets and other supplies to help the cause. The Pollock team went to work, building gift baskets for the kids who at Children's Medical Center. Our in-house corrugated design engineer even built corrugated storage cabinets for the games in the Pollock design center.

Once completed, all the gift baskets, games, and numerous other useful things were loaded on a Pollock truck, met there by a dozen Pollock associates. We were asked by hospital administrators to limit the number of guests, or we would have needed a bus!

Of course the highlight was delivering the toys and games while touring the facilities, knowing the hard work and dedication would brighten the day of children in the hospital.

This is yet another example of what we call "The Pollock Difference!"
