Multiple Sclerosis Society - Lone Star Chapter
Chapter Website
Like many Americans, Associates at Pollock Paper Distributors have been both directly and indirectly affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Several of our own associates have been diagnosed with the disease, while others have family and friends who fight MS daily.
Pollock first became involved with the MS Society in 2004 when Pollock Associate and avid cyclist, David Berman, rode in the Dallas MS 150. From there, the passion grew, and Pollock's involvement now includes not only a cycling team in the MS 150, but staffing a rest stop, sponsoring events, and most recently, participation in the Walk MS events in multiple cities.

2008 MS 150 Pollock Bike Team
The MS 150 is a two-day, 150 mile cycling adventure through North Texas that raises funds to help people living with MS. This year's route started Saturday morning in Frisco, TX, stopped overnight at Texas Motor Speedway, and then ended on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Downtown Fort Worth, TX.
Pollock's cycling team is lead by 2006 & 2007 top fundraiser, David Berman (yellow jersey).
2008 MS 150 Rest Stop (Sponsored and Staffed by Pollock Associates)
This was Pollock's second year to staff a rest stop at the MS 150. It's a great way for our non-cycling associates to get involved in this exciting event. It was amazing to watch thousands of cyclists stream through on their way to the finish line!
2008 MS Walk and Run Team
Walk MS is the signature fund-raising event of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and last year, the Lone Star Chapter Walk series raised more than $1 million for MS research and services!
2008 was Pollock's first year to participate in the MS Walk event. The DFW Branch team was honored to take home the Rookie Team of the Year award for the Dallas event. Additional Pollock branches participate in Walk MS events across Texas.
