Pollock Paper and Packaging’s core principles of business – what we call “the Pollock Difference” – set us apart from our competition. We focus on our customers and on our people. The link between the two groups is our quality program that defines our business processes: how we do our jobs and how we service our customers, each and every day.
Pollock Paper and Packaging’s very effective quality program begins with written, documented procedures for everything we do. The procedures are stored on Microsoft’s SharePoint and are accessible to everyone in the company. This very effective program is based on best business practices.
All processes are documented, accessible, and in a user-friendly format.
- All Pollock associates are trained on the procedures that they will use in their specific job function.
- Critical processes require testing and certification before a Pollock associate can perform that function.
- A root cause analysis/corrective action program is in place. This process is performed for every problem to ensure that it does not re-occur.
- A measurement program is in place to allow us to determine the level of our performance. It helps us recognize when we are performing up to the level of expectation, as well as what needs improvement when we aren’t performing up to the standard that has been established.
- A communication process is in place so that all Pollock associates know how we are doing in each area of our business.
- Problem solving teams are established to determine the best solution, normally by the people who perform the functions involved.
This quality program is overseen by a Process Management Committee that is staffed by Pollock associates from locations across the company each with varying areas of expertise.
